NxTrend was chosen for their Distribution Software and E-Commerce Technology
GT Sales & Manufacturing merged with Midwest Bolt & Supply near the end of 1999. The two companies operated on different systems, and neither could migrate easily to the other’s system. GT Midwest needed a Distribution Software system with rich and flexible e-commerce technology to support the unique approaches of their major vendors and customers. They also wanted to improve the warehouse automation available in Midwest Bolt’s system and deploy it in all locations.“We needed a new system that could handle the needs of both businesses. Also, our customers and vendors are requiring that we conduct e-commerce in ways that are not supported by either legacy system. We needed a system that could handle these requirements.” Said Matt Onofrio General Manger of GT Midwest. He continued, “NxTrend’s products automated many of our administrative processes, our purchasing and inventory control processes, our warehouse operations, and our accounting processes. It also provided a degree of data integrity that was lacking under the legacy systems.”
